dress fitting and invitations!

pictures from my first dress fitting are up on my flickr site...it went well, but i'm a little bit worried. i bought the dress almost a year ago, and have been working out a lot since then. the dress is way too big now, and they had to do a LOT of pinning to make it fit. even with all of the pinning, it's still a little looser than i'd like in the bust and booty areas. the bill for the alterations was $264...that's half the price of the dress to begin with! jody, who came with me, helped me talk through the list of alterations with the seamstress and knock it back to $150. that meant taking off the bustling alterations, which i'll now have to figure out myself. the seamstress was very helpful, though, and offered to show me at the second fitting where i can sew on a couple of hooks and eyes to bustle everything (there are lots of folds in the dress to "hide" the hooks under, so it shouldn't be too bad). i just hadn't budgeted for over $250 in alterations...yikes.

in better news, the invitations were mailed today! you should all have them by the shower on saturday! i can't wait to see everyone!!!

Dress Fitting

My dress fitting is coming up next weekend, and I need to have all of my undergarments purchased before then. Any recommendations for a strapless bra/bustier that will effectively support a C cup, and stay supportive all day long?

Invitation Sneak Peak!

Here's a sneak peak on the invitations--I'll be mailing them out this week! There are still some components that I don't have printed yet, but here's what's ready to go so far.
