Hotel Accomodations

Five Months to Go...
Dana and I are flying to Connecticut on May 2nd, which means that I have December, January, February, March, and April left to get everything done.
...really? That's it?
I know 5 months is plenty of time. But I also know that I have a tendency to get overwhelmed with the enormity of wedding planning, and wave my little white flag in surrender. And you have all been so wonderful, offering to help and take on tasks...but I also know that I am a bit of a control freak. So what's a girl to do? Well, to be perfectly frank, I need to NUT UP. So. Herein dawns a new day of wedding-related productivity. Erika and I finalized the STD's last week, and today I am ordering the stationery to print them on. My goal is to put them in the mail early next week...maybe even Saturday, if I can get the stationery and final .pdf by Thursday. Also on the dockett for this week: blocking off rooms at the hotel, finalizing the menu with the caterer, and calling the cake lady. I'm also going to try to do some more work on the wedding website. If any of you have ideas for things that could be added to it, please let me know (even better, if you have ideas for things out-of-towners could do while they're there and want to draft a post, I'd lurve you forever...).
I've done some wedding planning/shopping that I haven't yet posted about, so I'll try to get some more information up here soon (like the guest book stuff I bought...oooh, pretty...). In the meantime, I'll be taking lots of deep breaths and reminding myself that getting overwhelmed and freaking out is NOT THE POINT of our wedding day. Sheesh. ;)
